Leadership

June Gold, GraphLogic’s Chairman, President and General Counsel, co-founded the company in 2003.  After starting out teaching in the New Haven public schools, Ms Gold received state-wide recognition for excellence and was recruited to run for congress in Connecticut’s third congressional district.  After a hard-fought loss, Ms Gold enrolled in law school at UCONN and interned in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.  Completing her internship, she found herself well positioned to support Steven Gold, her husband, as he founded GraphLogic and needed assistance in negotiating software licenses with his Global 2000 customers.  Beyond serving as general counsel, Ms Gold has acted as the CFO and corporate secretary for GraphLogic and, upon Dr. Gold’s death, assumed the chairmanship.  Ms Gold’s strong leadership has shepherded GraphLogic through a challenging chapter and brought the company the growth and stability it now enjoys.

Fred Geyer, CEO, joined the company in 2008.  With a Ph.D. in physics, Dr. Geyer rose from a research scientist to vice president and general manager at Eastman Kodak leading the company’s efforts in its transition to digital technologies.  From Kodak, Dr. Geyer went to Texas Instruments where he continued his focus on digital imaging, contributing to that company’s efforts in digital video.  Expanding his focus beyond digital imaging, he subsequently led operations for a public information outsourcing company and consulted on market strategies before joining VBrick, a Connecticut web video hardware vendor in 2000.  At VBrick, Dr. Geyer led the company’s impressive results, including 35% CAGR for seven years & six consecutive years in the DeLoitte FAST 50, and diversified the company’s revenue streams through introducing software and cloud-video offerings to supplement hardware sales.  Dr. Geyer brings his excellent leadership, decades scaling technology businesses, and a career at the forefront of innovation to help GraphLogic to realize its potential.

David Baker, Chief Technologist, followed Steven Gold from CuraGen to help found GraphLogic.  Trained as a software engineer for the military and defense applications, Mr. Baker went on to lead software development for General Electric, Philips Medical Systems, and the NBC Network.  An early proponent of object-oriented programming, Baker introduced object-oriented design at GE and NBC, working on high-profile projects such as the introduction of artificial intelligence tools across GE’s business components and managing the Nielsen rating information at NBC.  Leaving NBC to join CuraGen in 2001, Baker lead the core architecture group within Dr. Gold’s Bioinformatics group.  Having impressed Dr. Gold with his skill as a systems architect and ability to stay on the leading edge of technology through a five-decade career, Baker joined GraphLogic at its inception and has led the database integration for PointDragon.

Julie Pellegrini, Vice President, joined GraphLogic in 2005.  With a bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Boston College, Ms Pellegrini had biotech experience through positions at Invitrogen and CuraGen which positioned her to join the company as a client-facing project manager with biotech clients.  As lead developer on several of GraphLogic’s early device integration projects, she positioned the company to take advantage of the potential of the device-generated data analysis market, a key component of biotech research.  Leading this segment, her role expanded across execution and sales, affording her  the enterprise-wide scope of her current role.  Julie holds a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from Boston College.

Joseph Chordas, Vice President of Sales, joined GraphLogic in 2009. In his previous effort in a start-up company, Joe played a key role in taking it from the ground up to $40M. As the first full-time salesman, he built the sales operation, grew the inside sales team, developed and executed a strategic channel sales program, negotiated GSA & state contracts, and penetrated international markets.  Joe holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Hofstra University.

Dr. Steven Gold founded GraphLogic Inc. in 2003 and led the company until his death in 2008.  A Yale-trained computer scientist, Dr. Gold rose to prominence in the 1980s by architecting the replacement of the mainframe with a network of PC’s at Echlin, a Fortune-500 company.  This early success at developing what is now called a server drew the attention of major trade publications including Computerworld, MIS Week, and Computer Decisions, and this publicity led Dr. Gold to senior and strategic positions at a various companies and leading to his penultimate role as Director of Bioinformatics at CuraGen.  CuraGen’s success yielded Dr. Gold the resources he needed to finally realize his vision for a new computing paradigm, and he left CuraGen to pursue that goal by founding GraphLogic.  Dr. Gold realized that visionary model upon the 2007 release of PointDragon, and, before his death, he led the licensing and introduction of this revolutionary deployment and development model at several global-2000 biotech companies.
