Summary:
Provide leadership and coordination of sales activities to launch market presence and generate revenue in the Life Sciences sector in New England. Develop and implement revenue forecasts, sales strategies and tactics for territory. Responsible for both direct sales and supporting indirect sales channels in assigned territory.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Regional Account Executive is responsible for selling GraphLogic’s Custom Web-based Applications to Life Sciences companies. This involves developing relationships with senior level scientific user and technical management and showing them how our unique development technology and approach will allow them to transform informatics, accelerate their productivity, and streamline their operations. GraphLogic has built microarray, genotyping, sequencing, and other workflow, analysis, project and operations management applications. This is a complex solution sale that requires understanding the customer's business and GraphLogic's technology environment.
- Generate software license, service contract and professional services revenue
- Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to close
- Coordinate with GL's technical and subject matter experts to progress sales opportunities
- Communicate product, service, and technical requirements
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years related product, service and/or solution selling experience, preferably in the Life Sciences, Pharma, or Biotechnology sector
- A track record of success for initiating and tactically executing sales strategies
- Significant market contacts and knowledge of the space
- Consistent quota attainment and over-achievement in a selling environment that has required you to work closely with a prospective customer to develop an appropriate solution
- A proven background in developing relationships with key decision makers and influencers including experience in closing software or service deals with recurring revenues and licenses
- Ability to manage cross group relationships within GraphLogic i.e., sales, engineers, marketing, product management, and practice leaders
- Exceptional results orientation, time management and organizational skills
- Confident and energetic; professional and team-oriented sales approach
- Excellent presentation skills, and written and oral communications ability
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to understand the business needs of prospects and customers and to explain how our solution can meet their needs
Software Engineer
Several openings exist for exceptional software engineers at all levels to help develop our revolutionary new technology.
Skills: Experience in Java, JSP, Struts, Eclipse, J2EE, object-oriented databases and the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is a plus, although not required. An advanced degree such as an MS or Ph.D. in computer science, math, physics, chemistry or the life sciences is a plus, although not required.
Requirements: Evidence of exceptional achievement, experience, and commitment, evidence of an entrepreneurial spirit, boundless energy, and extraordinary talent, and evidence of the desire and ability to execute GraphLogic’s extremely ambitious business plan. Cape and telephone booth will be provided.
Client Software Support Specialist
Several openings exist for client software support specialists to interface with our expanding customer base.
Responsibilities: These positions offer significant responsibility and require close interaction with customers through on-site visits, telephone, e-mail, and the Internet. You will be proactive in monitoring and tracking customer inquiries and resolving all issues to completion. Responsibilities may also include creating customized life science software applications based on PointDragon. This is a rare opportunity for productive individuals who enjoy diverse tasks, and who are seeking significant growth opportunities within an entrepreneurial organization.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in molecular biology, genomics or related field, 2+ years experience with high-throughput processes in the life sciences, and experience with software development and computer science. Strong reasoning and quantitative skills are essential. You must be able to work with minimal supervision, learn quickly and apply strong analytical skills to troubleshooting and resolving support issues. Experience in software technical support environment providing service to internal and external customers would be a plus. Demonstration of excellent communication skills, both written and oral, is required.
