Biomarkers

GraphLogic was engaged to develop a Biomarkers application in support of Cardiovascular Disease research.

After reviewing the requirements with the scientists, GraphLogic designed and executed an application to support the workflows, create database structures including image stores, and enable rapid searching of all text and numeric fields. The project took approximately eight weeks from requirements gathering through QA and into production.  

 

After utilizing the system for a brief period, the customer approached us again. The scientists were desirous of being able to visually search the image database. By incorporating a readily available plug-in, called Cool Iris, and fully integrating it into the existing application, GraphLogic enabled the researchers a seamless capability to navigate a wall of images with a slider,

 

quickly slewing back ...

 

and forth across the wall ...

then zooming in on any image of interest ...

 

which would display key metadata associated with the image, and, if desired, the ability to click on the image and be taken directly to rich data set associated with the image.

 

This additional capability was developed, tested, and given to the client within three weeks of the initial request.

There are currently 10,000's of images in the database with 10,000's more being added.
